What we did
Beyond Consult worked with Nottingham City Homes through all stages of this project from conception to the defect period. Following the RIBA 0 - 7 process.
During the initial stages of this project Beyond Consult were required to engage with all stakeholders and develop a working brief prior to procuring a design team to create the conceptual designs. It was the original intention that this scheme was to be a Joint Service Centre where Council Officers could work however, during RIBA stage 4 it was clear that this would not be financially viable, and as such the ground floor was converted to flats which needed to be incorporated without changing the building height or atheistic for planning purposes
Beyond Consult were responsible for the management of the internal and external process through to construction including the cost plans and end user consultation.
During the construction, Beyond Consult were the NEC 3 Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor. We managed not only the contract administration services but also the liaison with the end user and client providing weekly quality and monthly progress and cost reports to show the schemes position with the budget. We also supported the fit out of the library which was managed under a separate contract but due to timeline constraints had to be completed earlier alongside the construction works
During the defect period Beyond consult would visit site and checked defects prior to them being reported to the contractor and continue to manage this process for latent defects .
