What we did

Beyond consult were procured to support Quinn London on this scheme due to their expertise in the development of office blocks. The scheme required quick and concise decision making due to the tight time frame put in place by the client to ensure the building was ready for the start of the new school term.

By using our significant planning knowledge we were able to proactively interrogate the contractors programme and suggest alternative methods of working to support the project timeline and the scheme requirements.

To ensure the scheme was a success the construction work started while the adjacent school was still occupied and operational. Beyond worked with the contractor to agree bespoke construction traffic plans which were agreed with school staff and governors prior to them being put in use.

Further to our standard duties as the Employers Agent on the scheme we also had to liaise with school governors head teachers and officials to ensure all parties were informed of the works going ahead. The communication plan extended to pupils who were in close proximity to the construction site due to the nature of the build .

Ultimately, the scheme ended within the proposed budget and project programme Which we put down to the management of our team and the excellent communication we provided with all stakeholders.
